This method of generating SEO friendly tags for your YouTube videos is done using a free online Google suggest keyword scraper.
For those of you who are not familiar with Google suggest, this is when you start typing something into the Google search box and Google attempts to auto-fill the rest of the phrase. These keywords are getting some level of traffic each month otherwise Google wouldn’t be suggest them to you.
Go to UberSuggest.org and enter in your keyword(s). It should be a 2 or 3 word phrase. For example, the last blog post I wrote was titled “Why Most Related Posts WordPress Plugins Suck” so I placed the term ‘WordPress related posts’ in the UberSuggest search box:
Hit suggest and the software will return results. Click on the green plus icon to begin placing the keywords onto a list.
Use the top suggestions first without a +letter after the keyword (of course, you could use any keyword on the page):
Once you have selected keywords, click on the “Get” button. A popup will appear, place a comma at the end of each keyword phrase:
Copy these keywords and paste them into the YouTube tags box:
The keywords you place into the tags box in YouTube may exceed the limit they allow for tags, just start deleting them one by one until the video saves properly.
I use UberSuggest.org for a lot of different things, this is just one of them.
